The Open Museum organization is proud to unveil its most monumental and technologically advanced project yet: an immersive street mural dedicated to the incomparable master of surrealism, Salvador Dalí. This is more than just a painting—it is a colossal urban exhibit measuring 15 by 8 meters (120 sq. m), brought to life by the renowned street art duo Paparazzi and Pest. The mural is located on the wall of the Athinon Parking lot (behind Anexartisias Main Street) and serves as a contemporary educational work designed to inspire residents and visitors alike to engage with the history of art and the complex psychology of surrealism.

The concept behind “Dalí: Beyond the Visible” is a deep dive into the artist’s famous "paranoid-critical method." The work visually explores the internal geometry of his mind and his lifelong fascination with science, including the structure of DNA, atomic physics, and the philosophical search for immortality.

We are bringing art into the 21st century by making it truly interactive. The mural is equipped with Augmented Reality (AR) technology that allows the artwork to literally come to life through your smartphone. A QR code is placed directly on the mural, which, when scanned, instantly transports the viewer into an AR space. In this virtual world, you can experience surreal forms of communication: you can attempt to "call" Dalí, subscribe to his surreal "Instagram," or listen to music. Most importantly, Dalí himself becomes your personal guide, leading a unique tour through his virtual gallery.
